Meisel House is one of the most architecturally unique, breathtakingly beautiful, and truly peaceful houses that I have had the privilege of staying at. The central 360 degree fireplace supporting the spiraling wooden ceiling joists is mesmerizing. Not only does it have enough open common space for people to congregate and connect, but it also has many areas to tuck away if you want some privacy or solitude. The house is way off the “beaten path” and is surrounded by the Meisel Woods with hiking trails and a private deep clean lake. There is absolutely no light pollution and on a clear night you can see constellations and planets that you wouldn’t in more urban or populated areas. If you want to feel like you’re “off the grid” while still enjoying the comforts of electricity and plumbing, then you can not beat Meisel House!
