“Magical wonders in an enchanted hidden paradise.”
“One-of-a-kind opportunity.”
“Both stimulating and relaxing.”
What I love about Meisel House: The house, with its huge fireplace and spiralling stairs, makes for a cosy feeling of surroundedness, the perfect place to read or listen to music, and sleep… especially in winter when I like to visit. The outdoors offer wintry tranquility, whether snowshoeing around the lake through the woods or gliding over the fields on cross-country skis. Owl and deer sightings occur regularly.

This has been the most wonderful winter get-away imaginable! Idyllic views, superb snow — ideal snowshoeing and skiing at Murphy’s Point. Meanwhile, sheltered in Colimaison, we’ve listened to vast amounts of music (what a selection!) as we’ve wandered about enjoying all the surprise curves and angles of the most imaginative house I remember ever having visited.

“It’s a bit of heaven, achingly beautiful, quirky and generous in spirit. Truly magical and whimsical… I haven’t been this relaxed in ages.”
In a moment of blissful wintery contemplation, in this truly magical place, we come away transformed. Our spirits lifted by the beauty of the architecture, the materials, the music, the fire, the surroundings — and buoyed by rekindled friendships.

What an amazing gift it was to be able to stay here. Thank you for opening up this special place and sharing it with us. We soaked in the beauty of the woods and lake and the aesthetic wonders of the house. What an inspiring place.

Meisel House is a wonder! It’s a perfect gathering place for family and friends. We so enjoyed walking the hiking trail that you can access from the property, swimming in the warm, clean water of the lake, reading a book in front of the full-sided fireplace, enjoying meals together in the beautiful dining areas — both inside and in the huge screened-in porch. It was such a relaxing, peaceful and fun-filled stay! We can’t wait to come back!
